Life Skills Facilitator (Phoenix & Tucson)

Description- Zarephath’s Life Skills Program is seeking a part-time Life Skills Facilitator for the Phoenix area. Our Life Skills program is designed to enhance youth independent living skills while promoting economic and social self-sufficiency. Workers utilize the Ansell-Casey Life Skills Assessment Instruments to establish an individual base line for the life skills needs of each youth. Individualized transition plans, goals and timelines are developed to include youth, caregiver, and caseworker involvement. Life Skills training can consist of group and/or individual instructions, and may include hands-on training. Life Skills work is community based and includes working directly with the youth and/or caregiver. Youth in the Life Skills Program are ages 8-17.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field preferred but not required. 1-year human service experience with youth and families receiving behavioral health services necessary. This is a community-based position. Qualified candidates can work from home but must be available to meet with clients during the afternoons, evenings and on weekends. Travel to our Mesa office/location for team meetings will be required several times per month. Required Documentation includes: Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card, CPR and First Aid Certification, TB Test, AZ Driver’s License and three Letters of Reference.

Behavioral Health Technician (Phoenix, Tucson, & Yuma)

Description- Excellent work environment with opportunity to effect positive change in the lives of children and families. Our BHT’s work directly with children, ages 5-17, in our residential facilities across Phoenix, Tucson, & Yuma. Work is primarily on weekends during the school year with additional day-programs on weekdays during vacations and summer months. Overnight shifts are also available.

Qualifications- Behavioral Health Technician means an individual who a. Has a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in a field related to behavioral health; b. Is a registered nurse; c. Is a physician assistant who is not working as a medical practitioner; d. Has a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of full-time behavioral health work experience; e. Has an associate’s degree and at least two years of full time behavioral health work Behavioral Health Technician (Phoenix, Tucson, & Yuma)experience; f. Has a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma; and i. 18 credit hours of post-high school education in a field related to behavioral health completed no more than four years before the date the individual begins providing behavioral health services and two years full-time behavioral health work experience; or ii. Four years of full-time behavioral work experience; and g. Is licensed as a practical nurse, according to A.R.S. Title 32, Chapter 15, with at least two years of full-time behavioral health work experience. Additional Requirements Include- Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card, CPR & First Aid certification, TB Test, AZ Driver’s License, three letters of reference and pre-employment drug screen test.

Behavioral Health Paraprofessional (Phoenix, Tucson, & Yuma)

Description- Excellent work environment with opportunity to effect positive change in the lives of children and families. Our BHPP’s work directly with children, ages 5-17 in our residential facilities across Phoenix, Tucson, & Yuma. Work is primarily on weekends during the school year with additional day-programs on weekdays during vacations and summer months. Overnight shifts are available.

Qualifications- Entry Level Position with 1 year experience in mental health and/or college credits with experience preferred. Minimum requirements for this position are as follows: At least 21 years old, Motor vehicle clearance, High School diploma or GED. Must pass fingerprint background check and pre-employment drug screen test. Must attend two mandatory training sessions. Additional Requirements Include- CPR & First Aid certification, TB Test, AZ Driver’s License, three Letters of reference. Immediate hires available. Behavioral health paraprofessional means an individual who meets the applicable requirements in R9-20-204 and has: a. An associate’s degree; b. A high school diploma; or c. A high school equivalency diploma.
